Tulachermet renewed its monthly record in pig iron production for the fourth time in a row
Tulachermet PJSC, a part of Industrial Metallurgical Holding (IMH), one of the largest global exporters of merchant pig iron, set a production record in August 2020 when operating with two blast furnaces. Last month, the metallurgical enterprise produced 246.3 Kt of pig iron. This is 0.9 Kt more than the result achieved in July.
The plant has been renewing its record figures for the fourth month in a row. In May, the enterprise produced 229.9 Kt of pig iron, in June - 234.6 Kt, in July - 245.4 Kt.
"The record indicators of Tulachermet are the result of improving the strength characteristics of the sinter, overhaul of the blast furnace No.3 carried out in first half of this year, high technological discipline of production departments, selection of optimal parameters for the blast furnaces operation, as well as introduction of new methods of process control," said Dmitry Kholodny, head of the Tulachermet blast furnace shop.
