Tulachermet produced a record volume of pig iron in 2020
Tulachermet PJSC, a part of Industrial Metallurgical Holding (IMH), one of the largest global producers of merchant pig iron, set its own record for pig iron production in 2020 when operating with two blast furnaces. During the year, the enterprise produced 2,607 Kt of pig iron, which is 244 Kt more than the result achieved in 2019.
Tulachermet has been increasing production volumes for five years in a row. During this period, the enterprise increased pig iron production by more than half a million tons: in 2015, the plant produced 2,059 Kt.
“Impressive growth in production is a result of long and conscious effort. Professionalism of the technical staff, skillfully selected technological parameters of the main units, timely overhauls and modernization of equipment have become components of the company's production success. High-quality raw materials and fuel for sinter blast furnace production supplied by IMH enterprises, also played an important role in achieving these indicators,” said Sergey Dyakov, Managing Director of Tulachermet.
